Position Overview
As a Design Consultant, you will serve as both a creative visionary and a technical expert, guiding homeowners through the entire remodeling process—from concept to completion. This role blends remodeling expertise with client-focused design consultation and sales, ensuring projects are functional, beautiful, and financially viable.
Responsibilities
- Client Consultation & Sales
- Engage with potential clients through showroom meetings, home shows, and events.
- Assess client needs, budgets, and design preferences to develop tailored remodeling solutions.
- Present design concepts, estimates, and secure project contracts.
- Design & Architectural Planning
- Develop creative, practical remodeling designs that enhance function and aesthetics.
- Provide architectural guidance, including space planning and structural modifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and trade professionals to assess project feasibility.
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes and sustainability standards.
- Project Oversight & Client Experience
- Work closely with Project Managers to oversee job progress, budget adherence, and quality control.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction phases and resolve design-related issues.
- Facilitate a seamless client experience from initial consultation through project completion and final payment.
What You Bring
- A strong blend of design vision and construction knowledge
- Sales and client relationship skills—you enjoy guiding homeowners through major investments
- Experience in residential remodeling, architecture, or interior design
- Knowledge of local building codes and sustainable building practices
- Proficiency in design software, cost estimating, and project planning
- A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with excellent time management skills
Education & Experience
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in residential remodeling, architectural design, or project consulting
Preferred Certifications
- LEED AP, Certified Kitchen Designer, or Certified Aging in Place Specialist (preferred)

Location & Schedule
This role serves the Seattle metro area and is not remote. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Seattle, WA, or be willing to relocate by their start date.
