Overview

Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer position that just opened in McLeansville, NC. In this role, as an ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer for Undersea Systems, you’ll support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems.

Location: McLeansville, NC

Position: ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer

Contract: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct

Pay: $55.00 / hour Contract W2

Schedule: Hybrid

Clearance: Secret obtainable

Role and position objectives

• A minimum of two years’ experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
• Experience with library management practices.
• Experience with ECAD/PCB layout design processes.

What Sets You Apart

• Knowledge of one or more PCB design tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (Xpedition, xDM, DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx) or Altium.
• Experience with library management practices including Xpedition parts request system, Footprint Expert Enterprise 23, 3D model creation using Solidworks NX or CREO, and Hyperlynx.
• Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience.
• Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards.
• In-depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques. Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages.
• Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition is valuable.
• Documentation capture including BOMs, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, and 3D model generation.
