The Opportunity

Under the direct supervision of the Downtown Library Technical Supervisor, the Library Technical Assistant II works at a paraprofessional level to provide support for the general functions of the UCF Downtown Library including circulation of materials, and the creation of library signs, displays and exhibits.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, designs, or produces library signs, displays and exhibits.
  • Assists with collections projects.
  • Works scheduled hours at the public service desk interacting with patrons, recording statistical data, and circulating materials.
  • Coordinating with main library staff regarding fines, overdue/missing/lost materials, and bills.
  • Processing interlibrary, intercampus and document delivery transactions.
  • Maintains library stacks in order and shifts library materials when necessary.
  • Opens/closes the library at assigned times.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Experience with graphic design for print and web.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other graphic design software.
  • Experience in a library setting.
