The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, creative, and results-driven Social Strategist to join our growing marketing team. Based in San Francisco or New York City, you’ll play a key role in shaping and executing social strategies for some of the world’s most influential technology brands. Part strategist, part creative thinker, part trend-spotter—you’ll collaborate with integrated teams to build social-first programs that elevate brand narratives, engage diverse audiences, and drive measurable impact. You’ll partner directly with clients and internal teams to create platform-specific strategies, breakthrough campaigns, and always-on social content that connects. If you live and breathe social media, thrive on finding the next big idea, and excel in fast-paced, high-standard environments—this one’s for you.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead social media strategies across owned, earned, and paid channels, tailored to client goals, audience behaviors, and platform nuances.
- Plan and manage always-on social calendars, integrating brand campaigns, cultural moments, and real-time opportunities.
- Concept and develop social-first ideas—from short-form video and carousels to interactive polls and influencer activations.
- Stay ahead of platform trends and emerging formats, translating them into actionable client recommendations.
- Analyze and optimize campaigns by tracking KPIs, monitoring engagement, and providing actionable insights to improve performance.
- Partner with design, paid media, influencer, and PR teams to ensure social content works across campaigns.
- Champion the use of AI tools and emerging tech to enhance ideation, production, and community engagement efficiency.
- Oversee community management strategies, including tone, voice, and engagement approaches that build relationships and loyalty.
- Advise clients on platform best practices and audience engagement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Build deep expertise in client industries, audiences, and competitors to inform content and engagement tactics.
- Lead brainstorms and creative workshops to inspire bold thinking in the social space.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or integrated communications, ideally in B2B tech, cybersecurity, enterprise IT, or SaaS.
- Prior agency and/or in-house experience; experience in PR, digital marketing, or content-led firms is preferred.
- Proven track record developing multi-platform social campaigns and content strategies that drive measurable results.
- Deep understanding of major platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and their algorithms, features, and audience behaviors.
- Familiarity with influencer partnerships and creator marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in social listening and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Brandwatch, native platform analytics).
- Experience mentoring junior team members or managing freelancers.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills; ability to distill complex topics into clear narratives.
- Experience presenting to C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing presence; ability to lead strategy discussions and present content recommendations.
- Comfort working with paid social teams to integrate organic and paid strategies.
- Proficiency with AI, content creation tools, and emerging digital technologies.
- Ability to work independently and drive content forward while collaborating across functions.
- Excellent multi-tasking and deadline management.
- A passion for bold ideas and helping clients do meaningful work.
