Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to students.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.
• Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in PRAXIS Music and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; you can earn up to $40/hour with returning students.

Eligibility

• Varsity Tutors does not contract with tutors in Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Puerto Rico.
• Note: Other location restrictions may apply.
