Position

  • Role: Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
  • Start Date: Flexible
  • Location: San Diego County, CA (school, clinic, and community-based settings)
  • Compensation: $30–$36+ per hour, depending on experience

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong clinical musicianship (voice, guitar, piano, percussion)
  • Love working with neurodivergent, medical, and school-aged clients
  • Clear, compassionate communication
  • Value teamwork, accountability, and community care
  • Flexibility, inclusion, and lifelong learning
  • Licensed to drive and able to travel to client sites across the county
  • Bonus: Experience with IEPs, Spanish fluency, and/or trauma-informed care

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group music therapy services aligned with client goals
  • Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, healthcare providers, and families
  • Contribute to community-based wellness events and trainings
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continued learning
  • Represent MusicWorx with professionalism, creativity, and compassion
