Overview
CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS & PR SENIOR SPECIALIST — Capital Region Airport Commission, Richmond International Airport (RIC), Richmond, VA. Pay Range: $80,343.00 - $95,138.00.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day communications efforts, ensuring clear, compelling, and consistent messaging across internal and external channels.
- Oversee internal, external and emergency communications, media relations, executive messaging, and the airport’s speakers' bureau.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- Three or more (3+) years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or journalism.
- Strong media relations experience and the ability to navigate crisis communications when needed.
Key Skills
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Proven ability to craft executive messaging and support high-level leaders in public engagements.
Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities
- Intermediate skills or higher in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of systems related to finance and accounting.
- Possession of a valid Virginia Driver's License; ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
- Ability to evaluate and learn new systems quickly as they relate to internal processes.
- Certifications demonstrating additional knowledge related to the various divisions supervised are preferred.
