Responsibilities
- Develop web UIs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a strong focus on front-end best practices, including layout, interactions, and accessibility
- Translate design mockups into code and ensure technical feasibility while collaborating with UX designers, contributing to design decisions, and identifying gaps to blend design and technical ideas
- Work within a development team of full‑stack engineers to integrate UI code with business logic, services, and data sources, advocate for the user, and articulate design principles to the team
- Implement responsive design to ensure optimal user experience across devices and screen sizes
- Mentor junior UX engineers and provide guidance on best practices, fostering continuous learning and improvement
- Create and enforce coding standards and guidelines for the UX engineering team to ensure consistency and quality across projects, while optimizing web performance using modern technologies
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of recent experience in UX engineering
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- A portfolio website or GitHub showcasing past and current work
- Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript; proficiency in Angular is preferred
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Framer and strong understanding of HCI principles and their application
- Solid grasp of WCAG accessibility standards and their implementation, plus knowledge of web performance optimization techniques
