Summary
Video Teleconference Technician — Washington, DC
As one of the newest Chenega companies, Chenega Defense & Aerospace Solutions (CDAS) provides expert Engineering and Technical Support Services to federal customers. The Video Teleconference Technician operates video teleconferencing equipment, including powering up equipment, checking for proper operation, setting audio levels, positioning camera functions, performing secure or non-secure setup, and operating session control panels, studio control units, and high‑resolution graphics.
Responsibilities
- Aid users in conducting video teleconference sessions, which may include conference preparation, and monitoring VTC equipment and system performance, reporting equipment and network problems to appropriate parties for maintenance or repair.
- Operation of briefing computers, projectors, and other audiovisual equipment in conjunction with video teleconferencing services; may include scheduling sessions, training personnel in operation of equipment, and other audiovisual tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Cisco/Tandberg technician training is preferred
- Network+ or Security+ is required
- Secret clearance required
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of Audio-Visual Technology
- Knowledge of Automation and Enhancement
- Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and VOIP connections preferred
- Experience in installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing video conferencing equipment and components, cables, connectors and peripherals on a variety of network configurations preferred
- Installing and maintaining baseline VTC system configurations preferred
