Onsite position located in Suitland, MD.

Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident / Green Card.

For Permanent Resident / Green Card - must have been in the U.S. for a minimum of 3 consecutive years.

Salary range: $100K - $115K. The high end of the range may be offered for candidates who exceed qualifications in a required area.

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Web Developer (Drupal/PHP). The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide support and expertise toward successful delivery of project deliverables. Effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test web-based applications and edit site content for various components using Drupal.
• Create and manage web pages, add/edit content and upload/remove documents using Drupal.
• Maintain website standards and comply with predefined design guidelines.
• Utilize best practices in web screen design and learn about different middleware platforms to source and update data through web screens as specified in functional requirements.
• Translate the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that produces visual elements of the application, incorporating responsive design.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
• Estimate, plan, and manage tasks independently and report progress.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Create, theme and manage content within Drupal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with technical training in computer science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Drupal 8/9/10 development.
• Understanding of Drupal architecture, APIs, module/theme development.
• Strong experience in designing and implementing web application user interfaces and web pages using JavaScript/JQuery, CSS3, HTML5, and Bootstrap.
• Experience configuring and managing Drupal using PHP, Twig and custom module development.
• Strong knowledge of Section 508 and ability to address 508 compliance issues or provide alternative solutions.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Git version control and deployment workflows.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and code quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to consistently report progress and impediments throughout the day.
