We are seeking a Technical Content Writer with strong experience in software documentation and a working knowledge of automation systems and drilling machine components.

The ideal candidate will have a background in writing clear, concise, and user-friendly technical content for engineers, operators, and customers.

This role requires close collaboration with software developers, product engineers, and subject matter experts to create comprehensive documentation, manuals, and guides.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including:
  • User manuals, installation guides, and operation manuals for drilling machines and automation systems.
  • Software documentation, including APIs, workflows, and feature descriptions.
  • Training materials, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with engineering and software teams to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand documentation.
  • Standardize content across platforms and media, ensuring consistency in style, tone, and formatting.
  • Create diagrams, flowcharts, and illustrations to support written documentation.
  • Continuously update documentation based on product changes, enhancements, and customer feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Writing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing with exposure to automation or industrial equipment (preferably drilling machines or related mechanical/electromechanical systems).
  • Strong knowledge of software documentation practices and familiarity with SDLC.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Hands-on experience with documentation tools (MS Office, MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Confluence, or similar).
  • Ability to create visuals, diagrams, and illustrations using Visio, Draw.io, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in an onsite environment.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to IoT-based automation systems or CNC/PLC-controlled machinery.
  • Knowledge of programming basics (C/C++, .NET, Java, or similar) for understanding software components.
  • Experience in preparing safety documentation and compliance manuals.
