The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with thousands of students looking for online Technical Writing tutoring nationwide. As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online Technical Writing tutoring to students.
• Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Match with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.

Compensation and Schedule

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
• We handle the logistics; you invoice for sessions and we process payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Technical Writing and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, or graduate-level education.
