As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.
We use AI-powered tools to enhance teaching, including real-time instructional support and lesson generation, to help you save prep time and focus on effective instruction.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring in Expository Writing and related topics.
- Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like; accept on-demand tutoring requests as available.
- Use the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions remotely (no commuting).
- Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to support instruction, create lessons, and engage students.
- Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics.
What We Look For In a Tutor (Qualifications)
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Expertise in Expository Writing with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education are preferred.
