Responsibilities

• Provide online SAT Writing and Language instruction to individual students through the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform.
• Personalize lessons, adapt to different learning styles, and explain concepts clearly.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like; manage your tutoring schedule and sessions.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and related logistics.

Compensation and Platform Features

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40/hour with continuity for the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week.
• Remote tutoring with no commuting; leverage AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time support and lesson generation.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in SAT Writing and Language and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.
