The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online SAT Writing and Language tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

• Set your own hours and tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform.
• Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Use the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• Invoice for your tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in SAT Writing and Language and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

Compensation and How You’re Paid

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with pay up to $40/hour for sessions with the same student.
• Paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced.
• Remote work with no commuting required.
