Data-Core Systems Inc. is seeking aAI UX Designer to be a part of our Consulting team. The AI UX Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, transparent, and engaging user experiences for AI-powered applications in tolling and transportation. They design interfaces that bridge the gap between complex AI systems and human users, ensuring clarity, trust, and usability.

Key Responsibilities:

User-Centered AI Design

• Design intuitive dashboards, apps, and kiosks for drivers, toll operators, and administrators that integrate AI outputs.

• Simplify complex AI insights (fraud alerts, traffic predictions, anomaly detection) into easy-to-understand visualizations.

• Ensure AI recommendations are explainable and transparent to avoid confusion or distrust.

Human-AI Interaction

• Define interaction patterns for humans and AI systems (e.g., when should AI automate vs. when humans should approve).

• Design voice/chatbot interfaces powered by AI for customer service at toll plazas.

• Create error recovery flows when AI misclassifies or produces uncertain results.

Trust, Ethics & Accessibility

• Design AI experiences promote trust, fairness, and inclusivity.

• Ensure accessibility for different user groups (e.g., visually impaired drivers, multi-language support for toll systems).

• Build safeguards in UX for ethical AI use (e.g., avoiding bias in alerts).

Collaboration

• Work with AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to align UX with AI system capabilities.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to design workflows that match toll operator needs.
• Conduct user research and usability testing for AI-powered systems.
  

Prototyping & Testing

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups of AI-driven interfaces.
• Test AI explainability features (e.g., why was a vehicle flagged as fraudulent?).
• Refine designs based on user feedback and system performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience as a UX/UI Designer with a focus on AI/ML or data-driven products.

• Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure).

• Understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI), AI explainability (XAI), and ethical design principles.

• Familiarity with data visualization libraries/tools (D3.js, Tableau, Power BI).

• Strong portfolio showcasing AI-related UX design projects.

• Knowledge of tolling/transport solutions (preferred but not mandatory).
