Overview Senior Communications Manager at Lactalis Heritage Dairy. The Senior Manager, U.S. Communications will play a pivotal leadership role in designing and implementing the communications strategy for Lactalis in the United States, with responsibilities for internal and external communications. The role reports to the Director, U.S. Communications, and will supervise two team members and act as a strategic business partner to stakeholders throughout the U.S.

Base pay range $155,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Design and implement the U.S. communications strategy to guide employee expectations and behaviors for Lactalis USA, its divisions and shared services; manage corporate reputation with external audiences.

Lead internal messaging to employees and build relationships with company leadership across functions (e.g., HR, Sales, R&D).

Manage external media relations and platforms; collaborate with internal shared services and U.S. divisions to align with company goals and values.

Partner with the Director, U.S. Communications on the vision for the department, coordinating with Group-level teams and Lactalis affiliates outside the U.S.

Act as a strategic business partner to drive communications strategies that support business results in a matrix organization.

Oversee internal communications channels, including intranet, digital signage, town halls, Viva Engage Community, and digital newsletters; generate analytics to improve impact.

Support executive communications for key meetings/events and assist U.S. CEO and unit leaders with internal communications.

Lead employee engagement initiatives, including partnership programs (e.g., Feeding America) to increase participation and visibility.

Develop and manage messaging with functional leaders and executives; ensure alignment with the department’s Style Guide and maintain clarity, fairness, and accuracy.

Lead content management for U.S. communications, including news releases, reports, newsletters, and social media; manage the editorial calendar and ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Foster collaboration within the Communications function and provide coaching to team members to achieve goals.

From your STORY to ours Education

Bachelor's degree in related area of communications is required.

Experience with dairy, food & beverage, and/or CPG is a plus.

Experience

10+ years corporate communications or agency experience required.

Certifications and knowledge

Experience with a broad mix of communication strategies and channels (intranet, digital signage, newsletters, videos) to deliver messages across all levels of employees.

Expert-level written and verbal communication, and message development skills.

Strategic orientation and ability to define and guide communication strategy.

Critical thinking for research and information evaluation.

Strong business acumen and analytical skills to communicate context and measure effectiveness.

Demonstrated project management and cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders.

Commitment to ethical principles, diversity, and inclusive practices; experience working with the media is a plus.
