Job Title: Intermediate Architect / Designer
Experience Level: 5–8 Years
Position Overview:
Winstanley Architects is seeking an Intermediate Architect with 5–8 years of professional experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mixed-use multifamily and hospitality projects, with proven experience in construction administration and a solid working knowledge of building and construction codes. This position is suited for someone who is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and able to manage responsibilities across multiple project phases.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with project teams on the design and delivery of mixed-use, multifamily, and hospitality projects.
Lead portions of projects through all phases, with a focus on construction administration, including RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, punch lists, and coordination with contractors and consultants.
Apply strong knowledge of construction codes and regulations to ensure compliance and guide design solutions.
Support senior architects and project managers in developing design concepts, technical documentation, and specifications.
Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals.
Participate in quality control reviews to maintain accuracy, constructability, and consistency across project deliverables.
Contribute to project schedules, budgets, and internal resource planning.
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch required).
5–8 years of relevant architectural experience.
Experience in mixed-use, multifamily, and hospitality project types.
Strong proficiency in construction administration processes.
Solid command of building codes, zoning ordinances, and ADA requirements.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard design tools; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Licensure or actively pursuing architectural licensure preferred.
