Designer
for our
Seattle
studio.
Responsibilities
Works with team to develop architectural concepts for interior and exterior repositioning and/ or adaptive projects
Works with team to develop design ideas and create both presentation and construction drawings
Drafts technical drawings
For smaller projects may oversee all design and drawing
Provide review of engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solution.
Ensures integration into overall design
Oversees Intermediate Designer to review space plans and tackles more complicated issues
Provides detail for interior and architectural design projects
Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages for both interior and exterior
Assists in developing packages for larger projects
Obtains cost estimates and produces final cost estimates
Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs Senior Designer, PM and/or client of any potential variances to the budget
Qualifications
Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted
6+ years’ experience in workplace design, focusing on building repositioning and adaptive re-use projects as well as corporate interiors
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of design principles, workplace trends and aesthetics
Extensive knowledge of repositioning and adaptive re-use projects
Advanced knowledge of space planning
Advanced sketching and rendering skills
Advanced architecture detailing skills
Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures
Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements
Intermediate MS Office Suite skills
Advanced Revit skills
Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills
