The Designer prepares and revises engineering designs, drawings, diagrams, and bills of materials in collaboration with design engineers and project managers. Key Responsibilities
Analyzes mechanical engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to verify conformance with customer, company engineering standards and quality requirements. Prepares and reviews mechanical design for predictability and cost considerations. Prepares new or revises existing mechanical documents as necessary. Participates in process improvement projects and tools. Selects materials for components and assemblies. Create database for new part and bill of material. Checks and defines fit, form, and function of each part. Performs mechanical design calculations as necessary. Critical Competencies For Success
High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of machining. Strong knowledge in CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD preferred). Demonstrated experience with mechanical design or industrial design. Ability to design with spreadsheets; knowledge of ASME specifications and materials processes preferred. Pay range : Minimum $33/hour – $40/hour. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements.
