Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Brief Writer to join our dynamic wage and hour employment law practice group. This position is ideal for a skilled legal writer who wants to focus exclusively on research and brief writing without the demands of court appearances or client interaction. You will support our growing litigation team by producing high-quality written work for complex class action and collective action cases.
About Our Firm
Our firm is a leading plaintiff-side employment law practice with offices in California, Texas, and Illinois. Our wage and hour practice group has approximately 15 attorneys and is experiencing rapid growth. We represent employees in class actions, collective actions, and individual wage and hour disputes against employers nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents for wage and hour litigation
Conduct comprehensive legal research on employment law issues
Prepare research outlines and memoranda for senior attorneys
Support litigation team with written advocacy in federal and state courts
Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy through written analysis
Maintain consistent quality and meet demanding deadlines in a high-volume practice
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of legal writing experience
in a law firm environment Judicial clerkship experience strongly preferred
