As a Principal/Staff UX/UI Designer, you’ll lead the creation of seamless, impactful experiences for users navigating insurance and financial workflows. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and data science to champion user needs, define design systems, and shape the future of our platforms. You are a systems thinker who balances user empathy with business needs and bring deep expertise in both UX strategy and hands-on UI execution, with a portfolio that demonstrates thought leadership in fast-paced, regulated environments. WHAT YOU’LL DO

Drive Design Strategy - Shape and scale the design vision across product lines by identifying user pain points and business opportunities unique to Insurtech and Fintech. Lead Design Execution - Lead design initiatives from discovery to delivery—wireframes, prototypes, UI components, and high-fidelity visuals for web and mobile platforms. Systemize & Scale - Build and maintain design systems that promote accessibility, consistency, and scalability across products. Mentor & Influence - Mentor mid-to-senior designers while influencing cross-functional partners through clear communication and design rationale. Customer-Centered Innovation - Use research, behavioral data, and experimentation to inform design choices that demystify complex insurance or financial workflows. Cross-functional Partnership - Collaborate with product managers, engineers, actuaries, legal teams, and marketers to ship delightful and compliant experiences. WHAT YOU’LL NEED

6+ years of experience in UX/UI design with at least 2 years in a staff or principal-level role. Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in user experience and user interface design, ideally in Fintech, Insurtech, or similarly regulated domains. Deep understanding of complex data visualization, onboarding flows, decision-support tools, or financial dashboards. Experience leading 0→1 product design efforts and scaling mature products. Fluency in Figma and design system architecture. Empathy for diverse users—ranging from tech-savvy investors to first-time policyholders. A passion for simplifying the complicated and humanizing digital financial services. Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams. BONUS POINTS

Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), design in regulated environments (insurance, finance, healthcare), and user testing methodologies. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
