Your Role And Responsibilities We deliver the Infrastructure Cloud through an enterprise-grade unified SaaS platform, HCP. We do this with the user at heart and our “beauty works better” principle in hand. We believe the design process can and should feel satisfying for stakeholders, continually improve with insights, and regularly deliver positive outcomes for our business. We craft a cohesive, accessible, and usable experience for our users with Helios System Design. As a Product Designer for Terraform, you’ll bring and maintain a focus on user experience across Terraform and other infrastructure applications that Terraform integrates with. You will be exploring workflows that span across different user interfaces including the web, command line, version control systems, and API. You’ll discover and specify strategic opportunities for improvement through generative research. You’ll inform product strategy, shape product design vision and direction and drive alignment across the team, and conduct evaluative research to recommend the best path forward. In this role, you’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to envision innovative workflows for provisioning and deploying infrastructure over multiple public and private clouds and improve the user experience measurably. You will craft usable, useful, valuable, accessible, and delightful experiences for platform engineering teams, developers, and their organizations. You’ll guide, mentor, and collaborate with product designers across the team to ensure alignment. This role is specific to HCP Terraform. We build the Infrastructure Cloud which allows enterprises to take a unified approach to Infrastructure Lifecycle Management.
In This Role, You Can Expect To
Conduct generative and evaluative research to understand the problem space and test designed solutions.
Coordinate brainstorms, ideation sessions, workshops, design sprints, and other activities with your teams to align on design direction.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering to set priorities, goals, and roadmaps, and help guide product innovations from early concepts to release.
Partner with engineers on feasibility, responsiveness, and details of design specification.
Partner with product managers to discover and align on market needs and business goals.
Work iteratively in an agile environment, adapting quickly to user and stakeholder feedback to refine and enhance designs.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine and prioritize new features and enhancements critical to the success of our clients and community.
Collaborate with other designers, share your work regularly to inform and inspire across the organization, receive mentorship, provide and receive thoughtful, kind, and actionable feedback in design critique sessions.

You have established yourself as a professional Product Designer of enterprise software products.
You have experience building enterprise software for infrastructure, developer tooling, or developer experience.

You can clearly communicate and storytell your projects and design decisions.
You understand the importance of culture and building a fun, high-functioning team.
