Overview
Family Centers is a private, non-profit organization offering education, health and human services to children, adults and families living in Lower Fairfield County. Nearly 300 professionals and 500 trained volunteers work together to provide a wide range of responsive, innovative programs in the areas of health, education and human services. We are currently seeking a creative, energetic professional to join our fast-paced Communications and Development Team. This position will report to the Chief Advancement Officer and work out of our Greenwich, CT office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and implementation of Family Centers’ marketing and communications strategies and tactics. During key times of the year, this professional will also work closely with the Development team to promote special events and assist with event execution.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Family Centers’ marketing and communications strategy to maximize the agency’s reach to all key audiences Manage all Family Centers’ social media platforms and generate content to highlight programmatic outcomes, fundraising efforts, special events and general agency news Develop and analyze data on marketing and social media trends to grow key audiences and produce relevant content Produce short and long-form videos for use on the website, social media platforms and other e-marketing vehicles Oversee the management of email marketing efforts, including database management and the creation and distribution of regular e-blasts, a monthly e-newsletter and other email marketing pieces Update and manage Family Centers’ website Serve as the primary steward of the organization’s brand, uphold graphic standards, consistency and external reputation Design marketing pieces and other programmatic or agency-related collateral (printed and digital) as needed Serve as a primary organizational photographer and manage digital photo archives Produce Family Centers’ Annual Report, including client interviews for testimonials, organizing photos and conceptualizing design elements Draft press releases and other media alerts as needed Develop and implement communication strategies to promote fundraising efforts Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor of Arts or Science preferably in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications At least 5 years of marketing or communications experience Demonstrated written, verbal and computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, Canva and other graphic design software Flexible, collaborative, creative, detail-oriented, organized with excellent customer service skills Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary Ability to interact professionally with internal/external stakeholders including donors, board members and volunteers
