The Social Media Manager works closely with the Social Media Director to advance department goals in developing the College’s social media strategy and related activities. This position manages day-to-day content creation and oversees the creation of organic and paid content as well as campaigns for the College’s social media accounts. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position with an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) issued after ratification by the Miami Dade College District Board of Trustees. What you will be doing

Plan, design, and execute multiple paid ad campaigns for Miami Dade College academic programs and events Manage organic and paid content for Miami Dade College on social media platforms including Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others Create timelines and track progress of multiple ad campaigns to ensure they are on time and on budget Oversee and report analytics for specific initiatives, organic/paid campaigns, and ensure content effectiveness Leverage market data to develop content campaigns that engage students and the community Collaborate with the Social Media Director and Visual Content Developer to produce high-quality content Design and create eye-catching, shareable content tailored to each platform’s audience Explore innovative ways to engage and grow audience size and quality Develop standards, systems, workflow, and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, and retrieval Perform other duties as assigned What you need to succeed

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related field and two (2) years of professional experience in social media, marketing, or public relations; or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related field and four (4) years of professional experience in social media, marketing, or public relations All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures Proficiency with major social media platforms for business applications and personal use Excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written) Digital media buying experience and ability to report on analytics for digital campaigns Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sprout Social, Microsoft Office Creative and strategic thinking with problem-solving skills Ability to write effectively for diverse platforms (print and electronic) Ability to work under pressure, set priorities in a fast-paced environment, and work flexible hours including weekends and evenings Ability to travel to various campus locations as needed Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff Additional Requirements
