This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. Location: Davidson, NC.
Job Summary
The Communications Leader will serve as the strategic communications advisor to the Trane Supply business unit (BU), as a member of the BU’s senior leadership team (SLT). The role will support the business President and collaborate with BU functional leaders and enterprise teams to develop communications strategies aligned with business priorities, enhance leadership communication, protect and enhance the brand, and increase employee engagement to attract and retain talent. The Communications Leader will report to the Director, Employee & Business Communications.
What you will do
Develop and execute integrated internal and external communications strategies that support the BU’s strategic priorities and align with enterprise goals. Serve as primary communications advisor to the President, Trane Supply, and leadership team to enhance leader communications, mitigate reputational risk, and support change and key initiatives. Collaborate with BU and enterprise functions (HR, Marketing, Legal, Product Management, etc.) on communications strategies. Diagnose business needs, issues, and opportunities for communication support. Contribute to the company’s global internal content strategy to drive employee engagement and connect employees with the company’s purpose and leadership principles. Coordinate with the CMPE function to enhance reputation and employee value proposition. Support thought leadership platforms, external speaking, and media opportunities to position the business and enterprise as a leader in sustainability and employer of choice. Assist with critical issues, change, and crisis communications in partnership with CMPE, HR, Legal, and other functions. Develop messaging and materials for internal communications and measure results for senior leaders. Educate, train, and coach leaders on applying communications as a core business process, including stakeholder engagement and feedback mechanisms. Measure and report integrated communications results to demonstrate value to the business and enterprise.
What you will bring
Undergraduate degree or equivalent in communications, public relations, or marketing with 10+ years of related experience, preferably in a B2B company with diverse products and employees. Experience acting as a strategic advisor to senior executives with influence. Excellent written and oral communications and presentation skills. Change management and crisis communications experience. Active listening skills to identify high-impact opportunities. Strong business acumen and ability to convey complex concepts and strategies. Experience leading cross-functional projects with stakeholder engagement and measurable outcomes.
Compensation
Base Pay Range: $120,000 to $170,000. Total compensation includes a commission/incentive plan. Base pay may vary by seniority and geographic location.
