The Director of Marketing & Sales at BEDGEAR is responsible for driving brand awareness, sales growth, and in-store excellence within designated national and regional retail partners. This role builds and nurtures relationships with key decision-makers across multiple levels of retail organizations and leads cross-functional efforts in assortment planning, in-store experience, education, and account-specific marketing. As a senior brand ambassador, the Director acts as a retail strategist, sales closer, and program architect across key accounts and national events. Essential Functions
Build, develop, and manage a team of field representatives who own account management and territory growth for their respective geographies Build and maintain high-impact relationships with retail decision-makers, including executives, regional leadership, L&D teams, buyers, and store managers Lead account-specific business development, contract negotiations, and new opportunity pitching to close strategic sales growth Own all aspects of the Love360 strategy within assigned accounts, including assortment planning, marketing integration, education, and in-store experience Deliver compelling presentations and training seminars at retail partner locations and corporate events to enhance brand presence and product knowledge Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing plans, POP programs, digital campaigns, and product launches tailored to account needs Serve as a key Bedgear brand champion at trade shows and major retail sales events, representing the company and product line Conduct competitive analysis during store visits and provide insights and merchandising recommendations to Sales and Brand leadership Maintain retail call reports, visual merchandising compliance records, and in-store content feedback in SharePoint or relevant systems Coordinate internal follow-up with Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure successful execution of account programs Maintain a self-sufficient remote office setup and travel up to 75% of the time to manage field and partner-facing responsibilities Skills
Exceptional relationship management and communication skills across all levels of an organization Demonstrated success in managing and leading others Proven success in business development, sales presentations, and retail partnership management Strong understanding of assortment strategy, store merchandising, and retail marketing execution Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Brand, Education, and Creative teams Strong presentation and public speaking skills, including virtual and in-person facilitation Experience using CRM systems, retail tracking tools, and productivity platforms Organizational and analytical skills for territory planning, program tracking, and reporting Ability to work independently and with a team, travel frequently, and adapt to changing partner needs Minimum Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to provide documentation Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension) Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer usage Must have a valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle Successful completion of a criminal background check is required Preferred Education/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred Minimum 5+ years of marketing and/or sales experience, preferably in home furnishings, mattress, or consumer retail Proven experience managing strategic retail partnerships and account-specific marketing programs Experience working remotely and independently in field-based sales roles Physical Demands
Physical demands include travel up to 75% of the time with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs as needed. Work may require standing, walking, bending, and reaching. About BEDGEAR PERFORMANCE
