Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed systems and large-scale solutions for our customer base.

Collaborate with scientists, product managers, and engineers to influence strategy and define the team’s roadmap.

Drive system architecture, establish best practices, and help coach and develop junior engineers.

A successful candidate will have an established background in engineering large-scale software systems, strong technical ability, good communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

About The Team Our team works with AI technologies to transform how customers discover and engage with music and podcasts. We focus on building personalized and dynamic experiences that use natural language to help customers find content they love and discover new content. These experiences work across mobile apps, web, voice-enabled devices, in-car integrations, and more. We are excited to launch new projects in the coming year and to have a meaningful impact on product features and customer engagement.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided as part of the package.
