The Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) Senior Manager for Marketing & Communications (PR) with prior experience in procurement of marketing-related spend categories is preferred. You proactively partner with business stakeholders in the Marketing function to develop category strategies, lead sourcing projects, enable specification definition and demand management, and manage supplier performance and innovation activities. Marketing & Communications represents $650M in third-party spend in the region and contributes to business success and revenue growth. The Senior Manager for Marketing & Communications (PR), NA will report to the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications Procurement. Your Role Accountabilities
Category Management
Establishes strong relationships with key WBD stakeholders in Marketing & Communications (PR) and in other areas of Marketing as needed. Builds a strong understanding of strategic direction, objectives, requirements, and priorities across Marketing & Comms planning and buying categories. Works with functional and business groups as a trusted advisor to identify sourcing opportunities across WBD to deliver against agency/supplier objectives. Supports the development of global category strategy recommendations and leads implementation of the sourcing strategy (optimization, negotiations, competitive bidding, RFI/RFP, RFQ, Auctions, etc.). Creates and implements regionally focused sourcing plans and globally as needed. Obtains relevant information to craft new category strategies and support decisions within the category/sourcing engagements. Supplier Analysis & Management
Conducts comprehensive agency/supplier analysis (strategic direction, financial health/risk due diligence, market position, capabilities, risk assessment). Cultivates understanding of broader market trends and dynamics. Develops and implements supplier relationship programs across multiple WBD divisions in collaboration with stakeholders. Sourcing-driven Project Management
Identifies and implements complex projects across divisions and territories. Compiles business requirements and market conditions to develop optimal category strategy with risk mitigation. Develops and assembles required RFI/RFQ/RFP as dictated by sourcing strategy. Leads the entire sourcing process, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver best total value for WBD. Meets or exceeds goals and timelines for multiple concurrent projects. Financial, Cost, Spend Analysis
Cultivates understanding of cost/value drivers at market, supplier, and subcategory levels. Applies financial analyses to address challenges and identify opportunities for value creation. Collaborates with Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and other functions to implement opportunities. Negotiations, Contract Creation & Management
Leads negotiation strategies, contract analyses, and sourcing communications. Makes well-judged decisions with consideration of short- and long-term business impacts. Collaborates with stakeholders and legal counsel to lead negotiations and contract coordination. Understands contract provisions from business and legal perspectives and acts as a liaison as necessary. Qualifications & Experience
5-7 years in strategy, marketing, and sourcing in a sophisticated environment; demonstrated people management preferred. Solid experience in marketing-related categories; preferred. Bachelor’s Degree required; Business or Marketing degree preferred. Experience in the Media & Entertainment industry preferred but not required. Professional accreditation in sourcing/procurement preferred. Proven project management, strong communication, analytical, and team-building skills for a fast-paced environment. Experience working with Sr./C-Suite leaders to formulate and execute business strategy. Experience in a large, global, decentralized, matrixed organization. Curious, passionate, self-starter with strong business partnering and integrity. Strong supplier management and performance measurement experience. Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing best practices and ability to translate strategy into RFXs and analytical models. Pay Range: $109,900.00 - $204,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include bonuses and incentives.
