DIMENSION HOSPITALITY IS GROWING IN THE RIDGECREST, CA AREA! We are seeking a dynamic Director of Sales and Marketing to join us at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott – Ridgecrest, CA. Job Purpose:

Generation of budgeted top line revenue and RevPAR for the hotel through a successful revenue management strategy. Responsibilities

Lead, train & mentor sales staff including hiring, coaching development, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and terminations. Act as the driver of all revenue and ensure quarterly and annual revenue goals are achieved for the hotel. Develop sales action plans, forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively. Ensure hotel participation in all brand revenue management initiatives. Assist in the production of the annual hotel business plan. Develop and maintain the departmental budget. Lead property revenue meetings to maximize revenue and profit in all areas. Ensure that hotel credit procedures and audit guidelines are followed. Submit required reports to the General Manager, Regional Vice President and DDC Corporate Office in a timely manner. Maintain good rapport with local civic groups and companies. Develop and maintain good relationships with DDC Corporate Sales & Marketing staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Skills

Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and familiarity with brand-specific property management systems. Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills. Analytical ability to measure business potential and value to the hotel. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of customers and hotel management. Management Activities

Interview, select and train associates Set and adjust associates’ rates of pay and hours of work Direct the work of associates Appraise associates’ productivity and efficiency to recommend promotions or changes in status Handle associate complaints and discipline Plan work, determine techniques, allocate tasks Plan budgets and ensure legal compliance measures are followed Monitor and control material flow and supplies Provide for safety and security of employees and property Supervise a team of at least 2 full-time equivalents Authority to hire or fire other associates is granted with due weight Discretion & Independent Judgment

Develops sales action plans and forecasts, and evaluates trends to modify strategies that enhance revenues. Develops and maintains the departmental budget. May modify procedures to improve revenue outcomes; leads and mentors sales staff as needed. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. Experience:

Minimum 3 years hotel sales experience. Licenses/Certifications:

Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to customer appointments. Employment type
