Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - required . Proven success in

long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior living marketing/admissions . Established relationships within the local healthcare referral network (hospitals, physicians, senior services). Strong knowledge of census development strategies and referral management. Ability to lead with compassion while meeting census and occupancy goals. Policies

Maintain a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers. Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility's public relations and marketing programs and activities in order to maintain and increase our census and to inform the community about our facility, its programs, services, and practices. Develop and maintain written policies and procedures governing the release of information concerning residents, employees, and the facility in accordance with current Privacy Rules and Regulations. Assist department directors in developing and using marketing and public relations policies and procedures, and establish rapport between departments so that each staff member understands their role in marketing and public relations programs. Review the facility's marketing and public relations policies and procedures at least annually and make changes as necessary. Assist in the development, implementation, and tracking of customer satisfaction surveys. Interpret the facility's policies governing the release of information to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc. Ensure that public information describing the services provided by the facility is accurate and fully descriptive. Ensure that all employees follow established policies governing the release of information. Organize and implement continuing internal communications through bulletin boards, house organs, committee meetings, newsletters, brochures, public announcements, etc. Schedule and participate in departmental meetings concerning marketing and public relations programs and activities. Provide creative support for activity and social services departments in developing resident programs and publications. Maintain liaison with families, residents, and community and civic leaders. Participate in community service and civic groups to obtain information and support for charitable activities on behalf of the facility. Contact the news media when new programs or promotions are implemented within the facility that benefit the facility and community. Keep the Administrator informed of media accounts that may impact the facility or its regulations. During emergencies, establish a public relations area to ensure accurate information release within policy. Assist department directors in planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training for marketing and public relations programs. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and a calm environment throughout the facility. Follow ergonomics policies to prevent injuries. Prepare a departmental operating budget for approval and allocate resources. Serve on committees as directed by the Administrator. Maintain the confidentiality of resident care information. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure. Interpret resident rights to residents, family, and staff as necessary. Supervisory Requirements This position has supervisory responsibilities. Education & Experience

Must possess, at a minimum, a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent. Five (5) years of experience in marketing/public relations in a health care setting may be recognized in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Skills & Qualifications

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Physical Demands & Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment are typical for this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made. Employees may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Prolonged desk/laptop use. Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, read or hear. Frequent use of office equipment. May assist in emergency evacuations. The work environment is usually low to moderate noise.
