Position Summary/Objective This person will aid the Timberwolves’ content team with capturing content, included but not limited to gamedays, to implement the organization’s content strategies and objectives. This will be a seasonal part-time role, to last through the regular NBA season and potential playoffs.

The first full shift will be September 29th. Expected availability is for all home and away Timberwolves games.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with video editing experience (long-form and short-form) and technical knowledge of general production equipment (DSLR cameras, audio equipment, production lights, etc.).

Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and in a fast-paced, deadline-based, ever-changing environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented.

Collaborate closely with the social media team to execute ideas from pre to post-production.

Capture and edit player arrivals in a timely manner for posting by the social team.

Capture postgame media availabilities and send to the social team for posting.

Capture pregame, game, and postgame on game night, including live game action, fans, concessions, promotions and activations, etc.

Attend team practices and shootarounds to shoot media availabilities.

Conceptualize and create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.

Assist with behind the scenes, team shoots, and other events as needed.

Archive, log and maintain Timberwolves game footage for future use.

Be in touch with social media landscape, social media sports video trends, and viral sports content.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong knowledge of basketball and the NBA preferred.

Must be able to lift and carry at least 30 lbs.

Experience Experience in sports content preferred.

Education Combination of education and experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation $17.00/hour

Travel Position may require travel.

Work Environment This job splits duties within a professional office environment and within a sports arena. Office hours may vary and will include evenings, weekends and holidays. Staff will work external events, including charity and networking events. The office environment is generally favorable; there are no hazardous conditions caused by noise or dust. The job also operates in a sports arena, which includes ascending and descending bleachers/steps and moving around on event days. Arena work may be dirty from prior events.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, or crawl. They may ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the building on event and non-event days. Items weighing up to 50 pounds may need to be moved.
