Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for marketing, social media, online e-marketing, public relations, promotions for venues, radio promotions, clubs, theaters, festivals, shows and one-offs. The role will develop promotional initiatives with artists and the community to promote a positive brand image. The Marketing Coordinator may also coordinate the work of interns and street team for show promotions.

Essential Functions

  • Builds and maintains ad plans for AEG Presents shows, tours and festivals. Assists in coordination of media buying. Builds Google campaigns. Creates work orders for radio, television and manages flyer distributions. Evaluates and revises as necessary to increase ticketing revenue and event exposure.
  • Creates, previews and reviews press releases as needed. Coordinates the distribution of press requests with publicists. Serves as a public relations liaison. Adds new shows, schedules releases and updates as needed.
  • Monitors marketing trends regionally, with artists, and implements new marketing strategies and campaigns based on current trends. Analyzes fan base to target specific demographics to promote shows, tours and festivals.
  • Helps coordinate and advance day-of-show activities including radio station setups, remote broadcasts and escorting media photographers and news crews.
  • Creates, proofs, and distributes weekly newsletters. Orders and deploys e-cards and e-blasts with AXS Advantage tool. Checks venue information and links for accuracy, communicates errors to designers, and signs off on final versions.
  • Develops and manages social media accounts, researches new promotional activities and prizes for online giveaways. Collaborates with artists to promote shows on their social media accounts. Designs posting schedules aligned with event deadlines (announce, on sale, maintenance, backend).
  • Monitors budget and accounting for marketing efforts and provides reports on costs and potential overages.
  • Maintains relationships with partners, co-promoters and media. Develops special initiatives to involve the community in events. Organizes artist promotions and meet-and-greets.
  • May participate in hiring and training of interns and street team, and may be responsible for uploading expense reports, updating the office calendar, ordering supplies, and general office administration.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Experience calendaring events
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Photoshop)
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong PR skills, social media savvy, and organization skills
  • Must have strong work ethic, problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creative thinker; thinks “outside the box”
  • Knowledge of the music industry preferred

Payscale

Payscale: $23.00/hour - $25.00/hour
