This position is responsible for generating data-driven insights through advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to optimize the impact of pricing and promotions strategies/programs on net revenue & margin across our retail brands portfolio. Responsibilities
Collaborate with Data and Analytics team to design and maintain clean, scalable, and efficient data pipelines, enriched with data specific to pricing and promotions. Design and develop algorithms and models using advanced analytics methods (including exploratory data mining, multiple regression, and market basket analysis) to predict and understand the volume impact of pricing changes and promotions. Develop forecasting capabilities using predictive analytics and advanced forecasting techniques (such as ARIMA, ARIMAX, and XGBoost) to project net revenue impact from promotions at a SKU/Retailer level. Conduct comprehensive analysis and reporting on both financial impact of pricing and promotions programs as well as total market impact. Provide data-backed insights and recommendations to optimize pricing and promotions plans with strategic considerations for each retailer and category. Lead and design, using appropriate experimentation methodology, pricing and promotional test programs in collaboration with Insights team, Category team, Sales team and Finance team. Clearly document test objectives, measurement criteria, statistical models used, results and learnings/recommendations. Build and implement data science and analytics capabilities roadmap to continuously improve quality, timeliness and accuracy of analytical and statistical models used. Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to understand burning questions/opportunities in the area of pricing and promotions and develop tools and solutions to help address the same. Build and maintain pricing and promotions dashboards using data visualization tools to help key stakeholders monitor, interpret, and take action. Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years core competencies in data analysis, statistics, visualization, data mining and predictive modeling. Required experience with SQL, python. Preferred experience with R, business driven/self service business intelligence (Tableau or Power BI). Advanced quantitative modeling, statistical analysis skills, programming and problem solving skills. Ability to clearly explain complicated and advanced analytical/statistical methods and results to non-technical executive audiences. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; self starter. MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related field preferred. Relationships
