Sigma is building a cloud-native business intelligence platform that enables users to analyze data hosted in the cloud without any programming. We are growing the product design team and seek a designer who is curious about our users and can design world-class experiences. You will join a team of designers on a mission to make data analytics highly usable and accessible to non-technical users.

What You Will Be Doing

  • You’ll lead multiple areas of our product and help define the future of data analytics.
  • Collaborate with a down-to-earth, data-obsessed team to iterate, learn, and ship value to customers.
  • Create simple, elegant designs that delight business users as they explore data and generate insights.
  • Own areas of the product from design concept through release.
  • Work with product management, research, customer success, and support to seek end-user feedback and collaboratively improve product adoption and utilization.

Qualifications We Need

  • 12+ years of experience in interaction design.
  • Experience driving vision and future thinking while managing day-to-day improvements.
  • Ability to lead multiple areas and present new directions to leadership.
  • Strong interaction design fundamentals with visual appeal; proven track record designing commercially successful software.
  • Autonomous, capable of leading complex design projects and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Rapid iteration, feedback cycles, and experimentation; understands customer needs and incorporates feedback.
  • Systems thinking with the ability to design the big picture and break it down for incremental engineering progress.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and presentation skills; able to explain design decisions clearly to all parts of the company.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in HCI, Interaction Design, or related field.
  • Expertise in Figma; startup experience.
  • Strong portfolio showing product design work focused on interaction design; examples of released designs demonstrating system-wide thinking and progressive iterations.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $210,000 - $250,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Base pay is part of the Total Package, which includes stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.
