Overview Director, Marketing Creative Direction - Unpublished R&D Product at Riot Games. As a Marketing Creative Director, you will report to the VP of Marketing and sit on a newly formed R&D Publishing Leadership Team. You will set a clear, bold vision and actively work to define how our Game and IP comes to life for players. This role involves establishing the creative direction for a new brand and shepherding player-centric ideas across a variety of tactic types. You will collaborate across Publishing, Product, and Studio partners and stakeholders to ensure your work delivers a strong vision while upholding the central spirit of co-creation that makes our R&D title more than a game.

Define and consistently execute the gold standard for R&D’s Publishing creative work

Build and manage an internal creative department while developing a roster of agencies; be responsible for growth, development, and performance management of your team

Level up the overall Creative Direction craft by providing feedback on Publishing creative work

Have a strategic grounding, honing creativity to deliver what is right for product and players

Hold a deep understanding of our game and players, using these insights to drive the best work

Be a master collaborator, creating a sharp vision alongside a variety of crucial partners and stakeholders

Lead cross-disciplinary teams (creative direction and design, writing, and art direction), adapting to new situations and driving the work forward

Partner with the Game EP and Publishing lead on developing the player journey and launch and campaign cadence strategies

Required Qualifications

10+ years of leading successful creative work in games marketing or a creative agency

10+ years of proven experience directing external video agencies and partners

Deep knowledge of gaming, entertainment, sports and culture

Standard-setting portfolio that demonstrates clear vision, exceptional execution, and a storyteller’s spirit across mediums

Experience collaborating across multiple craft disciplines and product partners

Level-headed approach to change management, conflict resolution, and patience through the fluctuating creative development process

Knowledge of, and respect for, our product and players

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated equivalent

Direct, hands-on experience with video craft, feedback, and direction
