What You Will Do The Global Customer Capabilities organization strives to bring new ways of working to better support patients and customers. The Device Strategy team’s purpose is to empower patients with a simple, seamless injection experience. This role will develop and enhance patient- and HCP-focused educational materials for Amgen’s drug delivery devices throughout the product lifecycle. The Senior Manager will lead strategic development and implementation of educational materials across brand and cross-functional teams. You will partner with brands to deliver educational messages to the right consumers in the right medium at key moments. You will lead initiatives to enhance the injection experience and collaborate with Global Marketing, Operations, and affiliate markets to drive adoption of injection education materials globally. Responsibilities include: Embedding customer needs for injection experience into Global and Local Brand Plans and Local Tactical Plans. Leading device-specific communications strategy with market research and agency partners to uncover insights and translate them into compelling creative and messaging integrated across channels. Managing day-to-day oversight of creative agencies. Collaborating with Human Factors Engineering, User Insights & Design, Patient Access & Reimbursement, Commercial Data and Analytics, and other cross-functional teams. Driving decision making via clear written and verbal communication across governance bodies and working teams. Managing internal review and approval of new materials to enable responsible and compliant communications. Monitoring budgets and project performance to ensure cost-effective delivery of key objectives for all programs. Fostering a climate that embraces inclusivity and diversity of thought for all.

Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization Or Masters degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization Or Bachelors degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization Or Associates Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization Or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications

Strong marketing acumen with a key grasp of marketing strategy, market research, and tactical plan development. Experience with drug delivery devices such as pre-filled syringes, auto-injector pens, lyophilized reconstitution kits, and/or infusion pumps. Translating market research insights into effective campaigns or programs. Exhibiting passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences for consumers by understanding their needs and desires. Experience working with advertising agencies to develop and produce engaging creative. Strong bias for action and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to exercise strong judgment and uphold highest ethical standards. Excellent communication skills and self-awareness of leadership style. Ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization. Experience marketing directly to consumers, with a preference for pharmaceutical or regulated consumer goods or services.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on factors including skills, experience, and qualifications.
