Docusign . What you'll do at Docusign is about shaping how developers perceive and interact with the Docusign platform. This role focuses on the developer journey, identifying pain points, and empowering developers to build on the platform. You will own product messaging and positioning for developer tools and APIs, and collaborate with demand generation to create content that drives adoption and engagement. You will work with the Community and Developer Experience teams to ensure a streamlined developer journey from discovery to integration, with ongoing persona development to target the right builders in the right communities, using authentic and relevant messaging. While your primary focus is developers, you will influence broader Docusign platform messaging where relevant. You will enable Sales with developer-centric content and tools, and collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and senior leadership to drive clarity and action in a fast-evolving environment. This is a pivotal role with high visibility and opportunity to influence Docusign\'s evolution into a platform-first company. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Developer and Community Marketing.

Define and articulate the core positioning, messaging, and value propositions of the Docusign platform across all assets (especially developers.docusign.com) for technical audiences — directly to developers, partners, buyers

Research, refine and educate continuously on developer personas to ensure messaging, content, and channel strategies effectively reach target developer communities

Partner with other product marketing teams to integrate developer value propositions and capabilities into overall Docusign platform messaging, ensuring consistency and relevance

Create, lead, manage, and measure product marketing and lead generation initiatives that showcase the value of Docusign\'s IAM platform and capabilities to target developer segments

Partner with Demand Generation and Growth Marketing to define market segmentation and campaign strategies

Lead the creation of high-impact technical messaging and assets for execution

Work with Business Development to ensure key ecosystem partners have messaging, content, and tools to be successful channel partners; collaborate with Sales Enablement to ensure developer-centric content and tools are deployed and used by the field

Support strategic customer and internal events (e.g., developer conferences, hackathons, sales meetings) by owning the development of technical presentations, sessions, and training

Collaborate deeply with Product Management to ensure new developer products and functionality are effectively featured, packaged, priced, launched, and communicated

What you bring Basic

8+ years of product marketing experience (or similar) in the B2B SaaS space, with emphasis on technical products and platforms

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a technical or marketing field

Experience marketing to developers with an understanding of their journey, needs, motivations, channels and tools (e.g., IDEs, SDKs, Low Code, AI Tools)

Experience navigating developer journeys and conducting developer persona research

Experience marketing to specialized developer segments across diverse customer and partner ecosystems

Preferred

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, translating complex technical concepts into clear narratives for developers

Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, able to lead cross-functional initiatives with minimal supervision

Collaborative and team-oriented, prioritizing collective success

Customer-centric mindset, starting with customer needs and pain points

Familiarity with Generative AI tools for developers (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Developer)

Ability to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences and advocate internally

Experience at companies with a platform-first transformation

Compensation and Benefits Wage Transparency: Pay for this position is based on geographic location and varies with knowledge, skills, and experience. California: $140,000.00 - $225,075.00 base salary. This role is also eligible for bonuses and RSUs where applicable.

Bonus: Variable incentive pay for sales roles; non-sales roles may be eligible for a company bonus plan

Stock: Eligible for Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
