ANCHORAGE CHILD CARE & EARLY EDUCATION (ACCEE) FUND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - Range 22 / EXE Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This is an executive position (no union affiliation) and serves at the pleasure of the Mayor of the Municipality of Anchorage.

Example of Duties The Executive Director (ED) is the key leadership position responsible for supporting the Anchorage Child Care and Early Education (ACCEE) Fund Board of the Municipality of Anchorage, and the management and day-to-day operations of the ACCEE Fund. The ED, in collaboration with the ACCEE Fund Board, will shape the ACCEE Fund’s strategic direction and will work to implement that direction. The ED will support the ACCEE Fund Board in its mission to support and advance child care and early education throughout the Municipality of Anchorage. The Executive Director will work to achieve ACCEE Fund Board-directed goals by serving as a connector between the ACCEE Fund Board, the Municipality of Anchorage, stakeholders, community partners, possible funders, and the childcare and early education sector as a whole. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and nine (9) years of experience conducting research, investigations, litigation, report writing, program management, and/or program support. OR Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or a similar discipline, and seven (7) years of experience conducting research, investigations, litigation, report writing, program management, and/or program support. OR Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Accounting, or a similar discipline, and five (5) years of experience conducting research, investigations, litigation, report writing, program management, and/or program support. OR Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or a similar discipline, and three (3) years of experience conducting research, investigations, litigation, report writing, program management, and/or program support. Must Possess And/or Obtain Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire. Preference Certifications that are helpful but not required include those related to nonprofit management, fundraising, early childhood education, and closely related topics. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in early childhood education, nonprofit management, or a related field. Proven track record of program development, administration, and financial management.
