About The Team

Creative Optimization for Paid Channels (Performance Marketing): Creative is often the single most-influential lever to drive performance improvements across digital marketing campaigns. The team is responsible for the development, deployment, testing, reporting and optimization of the creative across all of Uber's paid acquisition advertising campaigns, across all channels and all lines of business. The work is cross-functional, relying on coordination with the business, channel managers, marketing legal, localization teams and external creative agencies.

Performance Marketing: The Performance Marketing organization at Uber is structured to drive high-impact marketing campaigns that leverage innovative technology across Uber's segments and products. It focuses on lower funnel metrics such as acquisition, remarketing, re-engagement, and retention.

About The Role

In an age of sophisticated channel algorithms, creative is a major lever for performance marketing. In this role, you will have a direct impact on all performance marketing creative globally at Uber. You will iterate on acquisition-focused creative to improve campaign performance, creating assets inspired from around the globe and seen by millions. You will collaborate with our global channels team to hit aggressive growth targets and with global strategy teams to stay relevant and localize for diverse markets. You will produce creative that leverages cutting-edge automation technology, scaling while maintaining local nuance.

What You'll Do

  • Work with internal channel managers (e.g., FB/IG, TikTok) to brief external agencies and produce new creative for performance marketing that follows best practices and local nuances.
  • Lead creative optimization testing roadmaps for evergreen acquisition campaigns on paid social, display, and video channels.
  • Pull creative performance insights using in-house measurement tools to inform future asset development and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional applied science and channel teams to craft creative experiments (e.g., A/B testing) and decide on next steps based on results.
  • Project-manage new creative productions from start to finish, including: outlining scope, briefing agencies, coordinating with marketing legal for approvals, providing feedback during reviews, working with localization teams, and developing test plans across channels (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.).
  • Organize and analyze results to understand the impact of creative optimization in performance marketing.
  • Educate other teams on creative testing results and create templates and storyboards using internal tools.
  • Write acquisition-focused copy for text-based channels such as paid search, display, and job boards.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience with performance marketing channels (e.g., social, display, mobile app marketing, app stores, SEM) either leading campaigns or producing creative.
  • Knowledge of current social media trends and content that captures attention and spreads widely.
  • Previous in-office experience; hybrid work arrangement requiring in-person attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience pulling creative reporting from platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Google Ads), Tableau, and a curiosity about performance data.
  • Interest in understanding what ad variation drove results and why.
  • Experience partnering with creative agencies to produce performance-based creative and alignment with acquisition goals.
  • DIY digital ad creation and performance copywriting.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, organization, stakeholder management, and meeting timelines.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, analytics, and digital marketing teams.
  • Willingness to move quickly and experiment with new ideas; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with dynamic content optimization engines; content/ads in multiple languages and cultures; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
  • Tech industry experience.

Compensation and Benefits

For New York, NY and San Francisco, CA-based roles: base salary range USD 108,000 to USD 120,000 per year. Eligible for Uber's bonus program and may be offered an equity award or other compensation. Benefits details are available at https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits.
