Overview

The College of Engineering Information Technology office is seeking a motivated Web Developer who can work both independently and collaboratively. This position creates and deploys user interfaces (UI) for websites and web applications that improve user experience (UX) in alignment with the business objectives of a project, the strategic direction of the University, and branding standards.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the project team, faculty, and staff to conceptualize, design, prototype, and build websites and web applications that define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles and patterns.
  • Coordinate and conduct usability testing to identify and solve interface problems, and help inform development of user-friendly web experiences.
  • Analyze emerging technologies and implement them where most beneficial.
  • Report to the Assistant Director of Technology & Systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree, 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience with Git, PHP or Python, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL.
  • Preferred: experience with Docker, WordPress, Bootstrap, React or similar framework.
  • Computer Science or similar technical degree preferred.
