POSITION SUMMARY: WDRB Media in Louisville, KY is seeking a Creative Services Videographer/Producer for the Commercial Services team. This individual is a self-starting, multi-faceted media producer. A visual storyteller with expertise in videography, lighting, in-field directing and interviewing. Candidate is a strong team player with a deep passion and curiosity storytelling, video editing, design application, and script writing. This position is located in Louisville, KY and is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage, pre-produce, shoot and direct videography shoots involving lighting, audio and staging.
• Produce creative, compelling, and effective TV commercials and content marketing projects to client standards.
• Work closely with sales team as well as an experienced in-house marketing staff for production services.
• Responsible for facilitating the brainstorming process to understand the client’s message/goals and develop those talking points into a strategic branding and image campaign for clients.
• Creatively produce original and exceptional work to generate new business and customer engagement while building trust with clients.
• Edit video and design simple and motion graphics for television commercials and station promotions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot technical equipment and keep firmware and software up to date.

Duties

• Produce, shoot and direct media production shoots involving videography, lighting, audio and staging.
• Produce creative, compelling, and effective TV commercials and longer form media production/content marketing projects.
• Work closely with sales management and AE staff as well as an experienced in-house production staff with access to state-of-the-art media and production facility, while working remotely.
• Responsible for facilitating the brainstorming process for strategic branding and image development to create exceptional work and generate new business with clients.
• Ensure all deliverables are meeting business partner expectations, including adherence to established timelines, policies and budgets.

Qualifications

• Creativity in photography/videography, editing, directing and producing advertising campaigns/content marketing projects for winning and maintaining new business.
• Must be able to work both autonomously and in a creative team environment.
• Competitive nature and drive to achieve excellence.
• Knowledge of TV production and terminology.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation and organizational skills.
• Proficiency required in commercial script writing, video production, media editing, on location and in studio shoot directing, and some graphic design competence.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in media production related area of study or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum two years of video production experience.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premier edit suite, After Effects, and Photoshop. Profficiency in Cinema Camera/DLSR Video Shooting, and working knowledge of post-production non-linear editing, color correcting, vector scopes, and audio EQ are preferred.

Physical

• The ability to squat and lift or roll camera equipment from vehicle to ground Weights range from 5 to 50 pounds.
• The ability to navigate uneven ground such as grass.
• The ability to see images on a camera screen and/or computer monitor.

• The ability to occasionally reach above and below shoulder level to adjust lights.
