Position Summary
We are hiring a skilled Multimedia Content Creator: Videographer, Photographer, and Editor to handle the full spectrum of visual content production for our marketing efforts. This full-time, in-person role is based at our office in Richmond, Texas, with moderate travel required for off-site photo and video shoots.
Your primary focus will be on leveraging expert-level technical skills in professional videography, photography, and editing to capture and produce high-quality content that highlights Hylio\'s AgDrones and software. Hylio provides all professional-grade equipment, including DSLRs, lenses, and editing software—no personal gear required. With 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in these areas, you\'ll also bring leadership abilities to guide a small media team, ensuring our content drives engagement across websites, social media, and more.
This position demands non-negotiable proficiency in technical execution as an individual contributor, balanced with supervisory experience to lead media projects. Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience and skillset.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture Professional Visuals: Use professional-grade equipment (e.g., DSLRs and advanced cameras provided by Hylio) to shoot high-quality photography and video, including on-location field shoots, product demos, and customer stories during moderate travel.
- Edit and Produce Content: Expertly edit images and footage using industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and similar tools to create polished, dynamic marketing assets ready for deployment.
- Conceive and Deploy Multimedia: Develop concepts, scripts, and storyboards for content; manage the end-to-end production process and distribute across digital platforms like our website and social media, optimizing for audience impact.
- Lead Media Team: Supervise and mentor a small team of media contributors, providing direction on technical standards, project timelines, and creative alignment with Hylio\'s goals.
- Collaborate Effectively: Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, product) to align content with business objectives; maintain organization in project management to ensure efficient delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5+ years in a directly related field, such as multimedia production, videography, or content editing in tech, agriculture, or similar industries. Prior supervisory experience leading a media or creative team is essential.
- Leadership and Soft Skills: Self-starting and highly organized, with strong communication abilities to lead projects and teams while handling hands-on technical work.
- Other: Willingness to travel moderately for shoots (e.g., farms, events). Passion for agriculture, technology, or visual storytelling is a plus. Bachelor\'s degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, or related field preferred.
Required Technical Proficiencies
Intermediate to advanced expertise in the following or comparable industry-standard tools and techniques is non-negotiable for this role:
- Proficiency with DSLR and mirrorless cameras for capturing high-resolution photography and professional-grade video, including 4K+ resolutions and manual settings for exposure, focus, and composition.
- Expertise in professional-level post-production software, including but not limited to Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and sequencing, Adobe Photoshop for image manipulation and retouching, and DaVinci Resolve for advanced color grading and correction.
- Skilled operation of supporting audiovisual equipment, such as lavalier, shotgun, and wireless microphones for high-quality audio capture during interviews, field recordings, and voiceovers.
- Experience in on-set production, including lighting setup with LED panels, softboxes, reflectors, and three-point lighting techniques to ensure optimal illumination and visual quality.
- Familiarity with camera stabilization tools like gimbals, sliders, tripods, and Steadicam systems for achieving smooth, cinematic camera movements.
- Proficiency in motion graphics and visual effects software, such as Adobe After Effects, for creating animated elements, titles, and overlays.
- Knowledge of audio post-production tools like Adobe Audition or equivalent for sound design, mixing, noise reduction, and synchronization.
- Understanding of file management, codecs (e.g., H.264, ProRes), and export workflows optimized for various platforms, including web, social media, and high-definition delivery.
