Position Summary
The Senior Traditional Media Buyer will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel media campaigns focused on client acquisition and brand visibility. This includes overseeing campaigns across traditional media (TV, radio, OOH) and digital channels (Google, YouTube, Meta, OTT, programmatic, etc.), managing large-scale budgets, and working closely with both internal teams and external vendors.
This is a senior-level role ideal for someone who is both analytically sharp and strategically minded, with prior experience in legal, healthcare, or lead-gen-heavy industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of high-performing media buying strategies across traditional (TV, radio, outdoor) and digital channels.
- Manage, allocate, and optimize a high six- to seven-figure annual advertising budget to maximize ROI.
- Collaborate with creative, digital, intake, and external media vendors to ensure consistency and compliance in campaign messaging.
- Negotiate media buys with vendors and publishers for the most effective pricing and placement.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance data, regularly reporting KPIs such as cost-per-lead (CPL), cost-per-case (CPC), conversion rate, and ROI.
- Identify audience targeting opportunities based on demographic and geographic insights to drive qualified case leads.
- Stay current on trends, tools, legal ad compliance, and media innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of media buying experience, including traditional and digital channels.
- Proven success managing and optimizing campaigns with significant budgets ($500K+ annually).
- Strong understanding of media mix modeling, attribution, and performance metrics in a lead generation environment.
- Proficient in media and analytics platforms and media planning tools (e.g., STRATA, Nielsen, etc.).
- Exceptional negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights and take swift action.
- Familiarity with compliance in legal or medical advertising (FTC, State Bar rules, HIPAA) preferred.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
