We’re excited to announce a bold new expansion within the Directive family: the launch of a specialized consultancy focused exclusively on social media advertising. This new venture will offer a distinct identity within our established brand, built to push the boundaries of social media marketing for B2B clients. This agency will be a hub for innovative strategies, helping clients leverage the full power of LinkedIn to reach, engage, and convert their target audiences. We’re future-focused and are looking for the right Senior Strategist with a growth mindset to join our evolving team. We use Customer Generation (a marketing methodology developed by us) focusing on SQLs and Customers instead of traditional metrics like MQLs. This role reports to the Associate Director and is a crucial part of the LinkedIn media team. Directive has a proven playbook of GTM product success and is applying that success to a new venture.

This role has the opportunity to be on the ground floor of a fast-growing specialty agency.

The Senior LinkedIn Strategist works directly with mid-market and enterprise clients, communicates results, creates custom strategies, and executes Paid Media deliverables. You will gain experience creating high-performing LinkedIn strategies for B2B businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead a collection of Social Media accounts
  • Serve as direct support to client contacts
  • Weekly communication with vendors or operational partners to ensure alignment on tasks, work quality, and improvements
  • Build strategies for clients each quarter
  • Create, maintain, and optimize budgets for paid media campaigns
  • Provide fractional support for internal marketing in support of a boutique agency within Directive
  • Deeply understand client positioning and unique value propositions
  • Confirm lead routing is accurate within a CRM
  • Responsible for personal productivity and utilization
  • Collaborate with Associate Director to achieve internal and client goals
  • Understand the value of Programmatic campaigns
  • Drive cross-sells, upsells and referrals via client relationships
  • Execute and optimize advertising campaigns within LinkedIn, including ad copywriting, TAM development, and targeting to maximize ROI

What You Offer

  • 4+ years experience at a performance/digital marketing agency, with hands-on experience supporting B2B clients
  • Deep expertise in paid social advertising campaigns, specifically LinkedIn Ads
  • Understanding of LinkedIn ad units such as conversation ads, document ads, and CTV
  • Proficiency with advertising platforms and tools such as LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Zoominfo, 6Sense, and more
  • Ability to delegate to junior team members for joint success
  • Strong understanding of paid principles: keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, campaign optimization
  • Ability to analyze campaign data using tools like Google Analytics/GA4, Excel, or other analytics platforms
  • Ability to drive results and measure via OCT
  • Experience with audience segmentation by tier, job title, etc.
  • Proven success with mid-market or enterprise accounts
  • Ability to translate and articulate strategy and tell stories with data
  • Competitive and curious problem solver mindset

  • Meet and exceed department KPIs such as client growth and goal attainment (core KPIs: North Star Metrics and Client Satisfaction scores)
  • Build client trust and renewals through strong relationships
  • Cross-sell services aligned with client goals
  • Clearly communicate results with client contacts and executives
  • Demonstrate exceptional decision making for account strategies

  • Salary range: $85,000–$95,000 USD base, with potential for bonus eligibility; actual salary may vary

Work Environment

Remote-first company; work from anywhere in the US with optional offices in Irvine, CA. Global opportunities may be available where we have established operations; current work authorization and residence in the relevant country are required for global locations. This role is 100% virtual, with collaboration via Zoom and Slack. You will use a laptop (PC or Mac) and standard office tools.
