Job Title: Makeup Artist

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced makeup, prosthetics, and special effects to transform performers into characters that captivate and haunt guests.
  • Collaborate with a team of artists and performers in a fast-paced, creative environment to ensure looks are innovative and immersive.
  • Bring look designs to life in accordance with look books and character designs, infusing creativity where appropriate while maintaining consistency with established designs.
  • Ensure makeup durability to withstand hours of performance and movement.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply and work in this role.
  • Flexible availability to work evenings and weekends with reliable attendance.
  • Comfortable standing and moving throughout the event area for extended periods.
  • Airbrush proficiency: use, clean, and maintain airbrush equipment for makeup application, including beauty and character looks.
  • Experience with special effects or haunt makeup techniques (SFX, prosthetics, scars, bruises, or unique character designs) is a plus.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to design and execute dramatic looks under time pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork to coordinate with actors and other artists.
  • Hygiene and safety: maintain a clean work area and follow safety best practices.
  • No license required for this role; specialty skills and hands-on airbrush experience are highly valued for haunt makeup teams.
