This audio-first AP role would contribute to podcasts including "Dateline True Crime Weekly", “Talking Dateline”, “After The Verdict” (and other projects as needed/available).
Responsibilities
- Monitor breaking crime news and gather elements for coverage
- Schedule guests and talent for remote interviews and tracking sessions
- Research and tape segments for various Dateline podcasts
- Factcheck podcast episodes
- Assist in laying up edits in Descript and Pro Tools
- Organize metadata, compile transcripts, and submit cue sheets
- Take the lead on publishing episodes
- Coordinate shipping and return of audio equipment to guests and talent
Qualifications
- 1+ years of newsroom and reporting experience
- Demonstrated experience in the AP role as part of a podcast team
- Scrupulous attention to detail
- Prompt and professional communication style
- Experience using Descript and Pro Tools Software
- Experience with Riverside.fm is a plus
- Familiarity with audio file types, fluency with methods of capture in-studio, in the field, and remotely
- Video editing experience, a plus
Additional Requirements
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
What we’ll offer
- Production Employee (PEP) Regular who works more than 1,000 hours per measurement period: Eligible for 401K after 1,000 hours worked in 12 consecutive months
- Eligible for Health and Welfare benefits on 1st day of employment
- Eligible to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Program after 90 days of employment
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
