Overview
Audio Visual Engineer (Future Opportunity) at AGE Solutions. AGE Solutions is a premier technology and professional services company serving the U.S. government, defense, and intelligence sectors. The selected candidate will support the enterprise AV/VTC program as a site lead and facilitator for our Government customer, working with local personnel and the project manager. This is an onsite position located at one of the following locations: Fort Belvoir, VA; Battle Creek, MI; Philadelphia, PA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Columbus, OH; Ogden, UT; New Cumberland, PA; Richmond, VA; or Tracy, CA.
Responsibilities
- Install, pull, terminate and test all audio visual (AV) cables, connectors, and interfaces.
- Install projection screens, plasma TVs, and various speakers; install AV systems on client sites.
- Read blueprints and wire AV racks; manage AV projects with multiple equipment models.
- Demonstrate testing, analyses, and corrective action on systems, networks, hardware and software.
- Understand wire and connector types for AV-related cabling.
- Oversee and mentor local junior staff, as applicable.
- Coordinate with Government customers to schedule and prepare for AV/VTC events.
- Provide preventative and corrective maintenance for local AV/VTC equipment and rooms.
- Ensure AV/VTC events start on time and maintain event quality.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Minimum DoD Secret security clearance.
- Certifications: at least one (1) DoD 8140/8570 IAT II compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Sec+ CE) and at least one computing environment certification such as Cisco CCS Collaboration Core, CCNA, or CCNP Collaboration.
- Candidates must reside within commutable distance of one of the listed onsite locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- A current DoD Top Secret clearance is preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Lifting boxes and equipment up to 50 pounds.
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000
