Adjunct Communication (Public Speaking) Instructor

Lincoln Land Community College is looking for qualified part-time instructors to teach Public Speaking for daytime classes at our main campus in Springfield and our locations in Taylorville, Litchfield, Jacksonville and Beardstown.

Position Details

Position Title: Adjunct Communication (Public Speaking) Instructor
Anticipated Start Date: 01/12/2026

As an Adjunct Faculty member at LLCC, you will receive:

• One paid absence per class, per semester
• Free access to the LLCC Fitness Center (during available hours)
• A travel stipend if commuting more than twenty miles to campus
• A tuition waiver benefit for adjunct faculty and their dependents under the age of 22
• Participation in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS) for qualifying assignments

Position Requirements

Applicants must possess a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours of coursework in Communication. Prior teaching experience is preferred; experience in teaching a 100-level college course in public speaking is a plus. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
