Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Lead a team of leasing agents and maintenance professionals, ensuring a highly engaged team provides a great experience for residents.
- Process community staff payroll.
- Financial Responsibility: Ensure collections of all monies due to the community (i.e., rent) are received and deposited.
- Process community invoices for payment.
- Purchase and maintain adequate supplies for the community.
- Community and Resident Focus: Maintain acceptable levels of occupancy (minimum 98%) and positive relationships with the community owner/s and its residents.
- Review rental applications for approval.
- Operational Excellence: Complete move-out paperwork according to governing regulations; perform unit move-outs, annual, and housekeeping inspections in a timely manner; audit resident files for completeness; timely completion of reports required by government agencies, administrators, or the Company; maintain the community to Company standards; perform other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 1+ year as a residential property manager with HUD/Section 8 experience a plus, or 3+ years in a general manager role with strong people leadership and process management.
- Education: High School diploma; associate’s degree is a plus. Certifications such as COS, LIHTC, HCCP, AHM are a plus and may be pursued post-hire.
- Dependability: Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
- Resident Focus: Commitment to exceptional service for residents.
- Operational Excellence: Deadline-driven with a keen eye for detail, compliance, and quality.
- Technically Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Yardi experience is a big plus.
